BM Trada Present ISO Certification

» 19th August 2014

DBS have received their ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates at a presentation made by Vic Bowen, Chief Operating Officer of BM Trada Certification UK.

DBS initially gained their ISO 9001 accreditation for their Quality Management Systems in September 2011 along with their OHSAS 18001 accreditation for their Health and Safety Management Systems. Since then they have worked hard to maintain these accreditations whilst also working towards gaining their ISO 14001, Environmental Management Systems, which they achieved in November 2013.

Vic Bowen, Chief Operating Officer of BM Trada Certification UK commented;

In many industry sectors management systems certification is a passport to trade. With tightening legislation and increasing customer awareness proving company credentials is a must if organisations are to be competitive today and remain so tomorrow.

By maintain and extending their scope of certification over the past 3 years to include ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 DBS have made a powerful statement about its drive for continual improvement, increased efficiencies, and will continue to be recognised as an environmentally friendly and progressive company.’

Steve Burley, Director at Derry Building Services commented;

We are very proud to have gained accreditation for all three of our management systems. Not only have they streamlined and standardised our policies and procedures, ensuring a unified approach for our clients and continuity for our staff, but there have been many other unexpected benefits as well. These have included a reduction in site defects, increased communication between departments and even cost savings with reduced water and energy consumption at The Old Hospital following a study of our own environmental impact.

However, above all these accreditations demonstrate our commitment to our staff, clients and our environmental footprint, all of which we believe are essential to achieving a successful business.’
