About The Project:
Dudley College Advance and Enhance buildings are both state of the art teaching facilities for vocational engineering and manufacturing qualifications. DBS carried out the design, installation, testing, commissioning and client demonstration of the mechanical and electrical services.
Set over three floors the ground floor is home to a specialised production centre offering teaching space for traditional equipment including lathes, milling machines and grinding machines for core engineering skills. The first floor is dedicated to Computer Aided Design and Manufacture with rooms containing high-end PC suites with touch screen technology and CNC simulation. The second floor has an impressive range of technical suites for teaching Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical subjects. The top floor offers flexible working space for group work, presentations and conferences along with a Maintenance Lab offering a full maintenance course with mechatronic equipment. All of the rooms in the building are spacious and modern with natural light supplemented by intelligent lighting controls to create a bright environment conducive to learning.
This purpose-built resource centre houses a large lecture theatre and is packed full of exciting technology to support A Level studies. The building hosts a new Stir Bistro and Café as well as a specialised purpose built training kitchen for students undertaking courses involving food technology.
